What is Brow Henna?
Brow Henna is an Indian Henna product. Different color pigments were added to give henna a beautiful light to dark brown color. Applying pure Henna on eyebrow or hair will give you reddish print on the skin. In addition, adding color pigments in Henna ensure that henna draws more quickly into the skin, so that you don’t need to wait for hours, as is the case with pure Henna.
How Long Brow Henna Visible?
Nobody knows the actual time, but Henna stains for almost five to fourteen days. Several number of factors decide exactly how long will this remain on skin. More often it is seen that the result usually gets disappear faster on oily skin, just like makeup. But if you are using lots of cleansing product then also the effect will fades earlier, that’s a reason as a eyebrow specialist, you should never make any promises, instead of that let your customer know that it totally depend on the experience of her first time.
A Henna Brow Guide
1. Patch Test
Before applying Henna on eyebrow, it’s really important to do a patch test as some people can be allergic to eyebrow henna. For doing a patch test, put a speck of henna on her arm, let it stay on her arm and after 15 minute remove it. If customer does not have allergic reaction within 48 hours, Ibrow Henna Powder can be use carelessly next time.
2. Shaping First
With natural Brow Henna, one can create super-tight brows. To do so, thread or wax brows first. A spatula is used to apply this golden wax and without using strips, you can remove wax easily when it gets hardened. By doing this, you can give a proper shape to your eyebrows.
3. Choose the Color
Brow Henna is available in various shades, from blond to dark brown so before applying any color choose the most appropriate color that suits you because it is really hard to determine in advance that how colour will develop when different pigments get mixed with it. It’s always advice not to use dark color for the first time, instead of that you can use Tint Remover to soften the color. Applying appropriate color will give you best result.
4. Cleanse the Skin
Cleaning the eyebrow with cotton pad with Supercilium Botanical Cleanser will make the henna stay long on the skin.
5. Apply Brow Henna
After cleaning the skin, apply the henna with angled brush. Punch and press henna into a skin until it completely stay on the skin. Start with the last part of eyebrows and move forward. Make sure that whole skin must get covered.

Best Way to Use Henna in Winter

With winter fast approaching, its worth remembering that if you are using henna, the temperature needs to be warm for the best dye release. Too cold and you won’t get the results you really want to achieve.  15 degrees centigrade to 21 degrees centigrade is the ideal temperature.  Long release hennas such as Jamila powder can take 48 hours or more. When mixing henna this winter, keep this in mind so you continue to get great stains from your henna.

Ways to warm Henna include:

·         Placing it in a pan of warm (NOT hot, warm) water – but you will need to constantly change the water and stir the henna to make sure the warmth is evenly distributed.
·         Using a little floor heater with a thermostat in a closed room; Mix your henna and leave it in that room to dye release. You can place it near (a foot or so away) the heater if it produces a small pocket of warm air, but do NOT put it directly in front of the heater. Keep a close eye on it.
·         When you allow henna to sit and release it’s dye, put it in a cold oven with the oven light turned on. Do NOT turn on the actual oven, even to the warm setting! Putting just the light on, will keep your henna at a constant temperature. If you use this trick year round, you will find your henna dye release time will remain pretty consistent, no matter what the temperature is outside or in your house.

It’s worth remembering that along with delayed dye release, the cold weather will make your body cold and that leads to poor henna stains. The warmer your body is, the darker your henna will stain.

The Everlasting Love between Henna and Indian Culture

Henna, popularly known as Mehndi in India, apart from being considered an excellent herbal remedy is a significant part of the culture irrespective of religion, region or caste. It is one of the several unifying factors that tie India in one single thread of culture. Applying herbal henna powder on hands, by forming a homogenous paste, in intricate designs, patterns and motifs is a celebrated art form in India and Middle Eastern countries. Various designs from simple flowers to complex palanquins, peacocks, ‘banna- banni’ (bride and groom caricatures) and roses are drawn on hands filled with delicate shading. Mehndi is applied by ladies on hands, feet and arms on various festivals including Rakhi, Teej, Id- ul- Fitr, Diwali, Karwachauth, Bhai dooj etc. Mehndi that pays good colour off is considered sign of prosperity and good luck. This is why Mehndi is applied to both bride and bridegroom’s hands as well as feet. In fact applying henna is such an integral part of marriage that a full fledged ceremony is organized for this, known as Henna night or Mehndi Rasm.

Henna that is applied to hands for decorative purpose is different from the one used as herbal remedy for hair or skin. In fact to colour eyebrows there is specific Henna Spa for Eyebrows. Henna gives strength to hair, nourishes them and prevents hair fall. Organic HennaPowder is used for this purpose and is generally mixed with other herbs like Hibiscus, Brahmi, Indian Gooseberry (Amla) etc. Henna used to create temporary designs on hands is a bit different from these types. Dry leaves of the aromatic henna plant is plucked crushed and sieved to form fine powder. This powder is soaked overnight to form a free flowing paste. To enhance the colour payoff ‘Nilgiri Tel' is added to the mix. The paste is filled in cones which are used as pencils by experts in the Mehndi art to draw beautiful patterns on body. After 2-3 hours when the Mehndi has become completely dry, it is scrubbed off (not washed) and ghee (clarified butter) or pure coconut oil is applied on the design. Usually the pattern stays on body for good 10-15 days.
These days high quality henna for body art is also being manufactured that is used to create permanent as well as temporary body art. Known as BAQ Henna, it is becoming increasingly popular day by day among people who love tattoos but are wary of chemical dyes. Henna Spa Kit Manufacturers take special care these days to supply supreme quality unadulterated pure henna to colour hair. With organic henna, one can choose to dye hair black or orangish red temporarily or permanently.
